Species Available:
• Maple: Creamy white to light tan, tight grain. Turns like butter and takes detail well. Great for bowls, pepper mills, handles.
• Walnut: Rich chocolate brown with occasional purple/gray tones. Classic choice for fine bowls, boxes, and accents.
• Red Oak: Strong grain pattern, very durable. Makes striking bowls and spindle work.
• White Oak: Closed grain, tan to light brown. Excellent for vessels, mugs, and outdoor pieces due to rot resistance.
• Hickory: Tough and dense with color variation from cream to reddish brown. Awesome for mallets, tool handles, rustic bowls.
• Honeylocust: Golden to reddish brown, often with dramatic grain. Turns smooth and finishes glossy. Perfect for showpieces.
• Beech: – Pale cream to pinkish tan, very fine even grain. Excellent for kitchenware, spoons, spindles. Hard and stable.
